Learning Strategies

Learning Strategies is a small, special education class that runs for one block every day during either Semester 1 or Semester 2. It is a 1/2 year course only. Learning Strategies is a class led by a special education teacher with an emphasis on strategies to address vocabulary, listening and note taking, sentence writing, paraphrasing, and executive functioning skills.  Learning Strategies employs the Strategic Intervention Model ("SIM") curriculum. This curriculum is a product of the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning.
