MKG Extended Learning

MKG grade level teams have provided a weekly plan of both online as well as offline project based activities for students.  All activities are designed to reinforce and strengthen previously taught skills and content. We would like to encourage all parents and guardians to do your best to keep kids to a schedule and routine as much as possible.  Teachers will be providing feedback and opportunities to interact throughout the week. Please encourage your kids to participate as much as possible. While the work and ideas provided are optional we do believe it is important to keep kids engaged as much as possible to prevent a slide in learning.  Consistent with the guidance provided by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, teachers are providing work that should keep kids busy and active for roughly the equivalent of half a typical school day. The ½ day rule of thumb is inclusive of all activities (physical, academic, exploratory combined). Kids are free to do more if they choose!

We understand that the continued closure of school presents many unique challenges and that the plans outlined below may not work for you.  We are here to help and please reach out to us if you have questions, concerns.

The food program will continue to be available for all Middleboro families. Breakfast and lunch “to go” bags are available from 9:00AM to 10:00AM, Monday through Friday at HBB.

If any family should require additional assistance I encourage you to reach out to our Family Resource Center at mquirk@middleboro.k12.ma.us.
