DEI Task Force structure

Purpose: A Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity (DEI) task force is a group of faculty, staff, community members and students assembled to elevate our school community's cultural awareness. The purpose of this committee is to develop and promote strategies and best practices within the realms of all diversity within the school community. The ultimate goal is to have a more inclusive community so that we can provide a holistic educational and inclusive environment for all. 

Focus Areas: Curriculum Instruction and Materials; Facilities, Hiring Practices; Opportunity for Learning; Procedure and Policies

Membership: Membership will reflect the diversity of the Middleborough Public Schools and shall be composed of administrators, students, legal guardians, and community members who represent the many perspectives of the diverse identities in the Middleborough Public Schools. We shall accept applications to be included in this committee as there are limited slots.

The membership format will look as follows

  • Superintendent
  • (3) MPS School Administrators
  • (3) MPS School employees (1 district employee, 1 classroom teacher, 1 clinical staff member)
  • (3) Current Students
  • (3) Current Legal Guardians (1; from each level; elementary, middle, high)
  • (2) Community Stakeholders

**Membership will be approved pending space and the recommendation of the Leadership Team. You will be notified by email.
