Dr. David L. Thomson

Dr. David L. Thomson serves as the Interim Superintendent of the Middleborough Public Schools, bringing more than 30 years of experience in public education and educational leadership.

Throughout his career, Dr. Thomson has served as Superintendent of Schools in Norwood, Interim Superintendent in Wilmington and Mashpee, Assistant Superintendent of the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District, and principal at both Raynham Middle School and Qualters Middle School in Mansfield.

An experienced educational leader, Dr. Thomson has led strategic planning initiatives, managed district budgets, overseen school construction projects, strengthened curriculum and instruction, and built strong partnerships with students, staff, families, and the community. He was recognized as the Massachusetts Middle School Principal of the Year in 2010 and holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University.

As Interim Superintendent, Dr. Thomson is committed to working collaboratively with the School Committee, staff, students, families, and the Middleborough community to support academic excellence, foster student success, and build on the district's many strengths.
