Mr. Michael J. Perrone

Michael J. Perrone serves as Acting Superintendent of the Middleborough Public Schools, having previously held the role of Director of Business & Finance for the district. With more than 30 years of experience in school finance and administration, he brings deep expertise in budgeting, operations, labor relations, and strategic planning.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Perrone has served in senior leadership positions in several large public school systems, including Associate Superintendent and CFO for Polk County Public Schools, and Chief Financial Officer for DeKalb County Public Schools and Duval County Public Schools. In these roles, he oversaw billion-dollar budgets, led large financial services teams, and worked closely with superintendents and school boards to ensure fiscal accountability and operational effectiveness.

He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston College.
