Middleborough Public Schools Welcomes Millie the Comfort Dog

Middleborough Public Schools is pleased to welcome Millie, a new comfort dog who will be under the care of SRO Brian Wiksten. Millie is a five month old Yellow Lab brought to us by the Middleborough Police Department and Officer Wiksten. The two will be visiting all five MPS Schools while on duty with MPS. Millie was purchased by Plymouth County District Attorney. The Middleborough Police Chief Bob Ferrera contacted Supt. Carolyn Lyons about the opportunity of welcoming Millie to the MPS family knowing that there was already another comfort dog at the Henry B. Burkland Elementary School. Millie's first day of duty was on Friday, March 14th, 2025.
