Degrees and Certifications:
This will be my 19th year teaching in the Middleboro Public Schools. I began teaching kindergarten when it was still a half day program. In my second year, Mrs. Schofield and I were selected to pilot the full day kindergarten program. For my third year, I looped with half of my class, and half of Mrs. Schofield's class to first grade. I would return to kindergarten the following year and remained there for the next 12 years. I am very excited to begin my third year of teaching second grade.
I graduated from Bridgewater State College with a degree in History, with a High School Education minor. I earned my Masters Degree from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth in Elementary Education. I also taught the Early Childhood Associate Degree program at Bay State College for 9 years in their evening program.
I grew up in Middleboro, went to school here at HBB, and graduated from Middleboro High School. I have two children, Patrick (23), and Paige (13). My wife Paula is a teacher in the Bridgewater-Raynham schools.
My family and I love camping and try to go as much as possible. We love to go kayaking, biking, and hiking on our trips. In my spare time I enjoy coaching Paige's softball teams during the spring, summer and fall!
I am looking forward to an exciting and rewarding year in grade 2.
