Our math studies this month has continued to build on developing our skills to count, compare, read and write numbers to 10.
We are also working on recognizing a group of items regardless to it's configuration.
We are working on this subitizing skill by recognizing amounts on a dice, domino, ten frame and even our fingers....in a snap!
We have experienced numbers in a variety of ways:
in large and small group mini lessons
using lots of different types of manipulatives to count with
we have played all kinds of games and we especially love board games!
writing and drawing with pencils, markers, on white boards, on giant pieces of paper and even with shaving cream !
We have worked independently, with a buddy or in small groups.
