About the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Burrows, and I am looking forward to spending first grade with you! I have lots of fun things planned for the year, and I hope you are as excited about this year as much as I am!This will be my 3rd year as a first grade teacher, but my 5th year working for the school district. After graduating from Bridgewater State University in 2013, I started working for the Middleborough School District as a 1:1 teacher's aide. I worked with two amazing classroom teachers: a kindgergarten teacher at the MECC, and a fellow first grade teacher at MKG. I returned to Bridgewater State University to pursue a Master's in Elementary Education, which I completed in the Winter of 2015. In January 2016, I was able to return "home" to MKG, where I continue to work with a supportive staff and administration.I am sure we have lots in common! :) Here are some fun facts about me:- You live in the town of Middleborough. I do, too! I live here with my husband and infant son.
- We have two awesome pets who Mr. Burrows and I rescued. We have a cat named Luna, and a dog named Salchie. They love playing with each other!
- My favorite colors are purple and lime green.
- My favorite books I enjoyed reading as a child were all the Harry Potter books.
- My favorite place is Disney World. I love ALL things Disney!
- I love to sing and dance. (We will be having lots of brain breaks in Room 20!)
- I enjoy teaching everything, but science is my most favorite subject.
- I like playing Mario Kart. :)
