Education and Experience:
I attended Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island where I received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in history of Western Civilization. I worked for 10 years in banking in Boston as a project manager and finance officer. I bring strong math and organization skills from my corporate banking background to my classroom.
After my children were in school, I began teaching for Massachusetts Audubon Society as a teacher/naturalist. I loved working with children and helping to develop their innate curiosity for the world around us. Children are naturally drawn to science and hands on investigation of their surroundings.
I attended Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts earning a Masters in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in the Franklin Public Schools, where I was a long term substitute in fourth and second grade.
I have been teaching third grade at the Mary K. Goode Elementary School in Middleborough, Massachusetts for nine years. I currently teach the third grade inclusion classroom along with our special education teacher, Ms. Devine. I am also certified to teach students who are English Language Learners. I am the lead elementary teacher for Project Lead the Way, our engineering and science curriculum that focuses on problem solving and collaboration skills. I love teaching and I am privileged to work with the students and teachers at M.K.G.
