Please read the following instructions on how to properly set up the Middleborough Public School's Digital Portfolio.
Students
Example
FRESHMEN - (or any students just beginning a Digital Portfolio) make sure you are using the "NEW BETA TEMPLATE" for your digital portfolio.
  • Copy the folder "NEW BETA TEMPLATE" (located directly on the G: drive) into your Roswell folder H: drive.
  • Depending upon the type of file or certain class, the file name MUST be properly named for it to appear on the digital portfolio web page. (e.g. for a freshman word document for history would be named: "year1historyproj.doc").
  • For the list of properly named files, click HERE.
  • Make sure you save the file in the correct folder also. For example, a freshman history project should be saved under the "year1" folder under "history".
  • To see if you saved your work properly, open the "index" web page located in the digital portfolio folder and then navigate to where the work should appear on the site.
  • If a reflection piece is required for the assignment, simply follow the same directions (make sure the reflection is correctly named and in the right folder in the portfolio).

STUDENTS RETURNING TO USE THE DIGITAL PORTFOLIO - You already have a Digital Portfolio Template saved to your H: Drive
  • If you have followed the procedures outlined for FRESHMEN regarding file types and saving and your documents are not showing up you may need to update PATHS available in your Template.
UPDATED PATHS
  • There have been PATHS added in subject areas so additional documents can be added to the Portfolios.
  • Update PATHS by copying & pasting the HTML document from the subject area on the G: drive to your subject folder in your H: drive.
  • Individual subject areas must be updated separately. (i.e. G: drive Science HTML to H: drive Science HTML)
Look at these pictures to see how your portfolio should look.
Troubleshooting
Double check that you are using the new student portfolio.
Q. When I try to view my work, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" error.
A. The file is most likely not named right. If you named a file, and included the file extensions (.doc , .ppt , etc.) try removing it.
Q. What do I save my work as?
A. Look HERE for all the file names.
Q. I'm still lost. Help!
A. For a separate set of directions, click HERE.
Q. I need help putting a picture into the portfolio.
A. The instructions are the same as with any other file in the digital portfolio. However, the image should be resized. Using Photoshop, open your image. Go to "Image" on the toolbar and then select "Image Size". Adjust the width or height to 4" or 6" and make sure the "Constrained Proportions" box is checked. Click ok and resave the image with the proper filename.
